I've always find it quite tough to clean..especially with cold air which sucks all the dirt in. I temporary ran out of K&N cleaning solution (too mild IMO), so I used the GumOut engine cleaner..sprayed it on and let it sit for a couple of minutes then hosed it off with water (inside out)...The engine cleaner did a much much better job than the K&N cleaning solution!! I had a spotless K&N filter in less than 4 mins biggrin

    Unhappy

Take a look at it on and off for the next couple weeks.

Stronger solvents can destroy the glue. That's what happened to mine. Check the areas where the filter mates with non filter (plastic) for gaps or breaking away.

The filter is fine..washed it twice and have been using it for the last 4 or so months already. It's relatively cheap if need to be replaced anyways...considered what I've replaced for my car biggrin

If that stuff works without hurting it, that's cool. Do you clean it often? There are suppose to last like 10,000 miles between cleaning.
